Well, it's time to update SandwichINK for the Sandwich Generation here at Blogger and I've heard SEVERAL comments around the bloggy world that indicate yet another change has hit and they were NOT too happy about it. So I'm typing this now in the hopes it works for me AND taking notes of what I'm doing to share with any of you who might have any questions. :)
And what perfect timing since we've been working on a new series of encouraging Bible memory verses about heaven for kids and grandkids (not to mention us parents and grandparents teaching them). When I stood and watched their kites flying high in the sky with the clouds, it so reminded me of all God's wonderful promises in the Bible about heaven!
Well, time to put this post up. So far it's doing what it should. It'll be interesting to see what happens when I push publish. :) Oops - while working in Chrome, I tried to add pictures and it just wouldn't add them at all. Then I tried Firefox. It added some of them, but not all AND the ones it did add were not always showing up correctly - like this one of my senior mom and a grandson standing sideways - nice trick, don't you think? :)
One thing I've learned about blogging, and computers in general - there's more than one way to fix a computer problem. :) Normally, I just select the picture button, upload, and select the picture I have on my computer. Since that's not working right now, I tried a different route. Since these pictures were already online - at SandwichINK - I went to the post they were in, right clicked the photo, selected COPY IMAGE LOCATION, then went to photo button at the top of Blogspot, clicked on FROM THE URL, then pasted the URL I got when I did "copy image location." Voila - it pasted in nicely, right side up. Well, it did it the FIRST time I tried it in Firefox. AND it did it the LAST couple of times I tried it in Chrome. In between - while using Firefox, Blogspot froze up, almost totally. I was, however, able to press the button HTML, select everything that showed up there - all the html - and copy it. Then I was able to reopen the blog in Chrome and paste in the parts I lost when Blogspot froze up. I suspect the problem was more on Firefox's side as I've been having issues with Firefox all week - the joys of the internet! If it's not one tech issue driving us nuts, it's another! But as you can see, this time it worked
